Elder You Wenhe was born in Taiwan and was baptized in 1981, the same year he married Hu Ching-Wu. He came to the U.S. in 1982 to study at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, earning his Ph.D. in physiology in 1987. He has attended DCFC since the fall of 1982, serving as fellowship chairman, principal of the Chinese Sunday school, and a deacon for ten years. He was ordained an elder in 2008, currently serves as an advisory elder, and teaches in the Department of Biological Sciences at the University of Texas at Dallas.
