Elder Wang Mingzhi was baptized at the Raleigh Chinese Christian Church in North Carolina in 1996 and was ordained an elder of DCFC in 2013. He joined DCFC in 2000 and has served in various ministries on the deacon board and elder board for more than twenty years. After working in engineering for over 30 years, he took early retirement in 2022, and he and his wife, Yao Chia-Ai, were sent by the church on a three-year mission assignment to Taitung, Taiwan, expected to conclude in December 2025.

He enjoys watching NFL football with his wife, especially on Super Bowl Sunday, and when the family gathers they love reminiscing about their student days in Austin, Texas.
