Elder Qiu Fang came to faith in 1997 while pursuing his Ph.D. at the University of South Carolina. Since 2000 he has taught at the University of Texas at Dallas, where he has served as head of the Geospatial Information Sciences program. He has served as advisor to DCFC's campus fellowship, deacon of missions and of local evangelism, board member of Ambassadors for Christ, and board member of the Frisco Light and Salt Association. His service includes campus evangelism, discipleship, small-group Bible study, Sunday school teaching, overseas short-term missions, internet missions, and preaching at Sunday services and evangelistic meetings. He was ordained an elder in 2021.
