Pastor Nelson Lin has served as DCFC's English ministry pastor since August 1991. He is a graduate of Grace Theological Seminary in Indiana. He comes from the American Midwest, and he and his wife Margaret have four children — Caleb, James, Jonathan, and Rebecca — and seven beautiful grandchildren who make them proud grandparents. Pastor Lin enjoys spending time with his grandchildren and riding his motorcycle.

His second son James went home to be with the Lord on April 2, 2019 from Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome; he had just turned 30 when his heart suddenly stopped. Pastor Lin and his wife are grateful for the love and support the brothers and sisters of DCFC have given them. “Not I, but Christ lives in me” is one of the hymns that expresses his heart. He often thinks of eternity and thanks God for the gift of salvation, for Jesus Christ is the hope of the world. Psalm 65:5 says, “By awesome deeds you answer us with righteousness, O God of our salvation, the hope of all the ends of the earth and of the farthest seas.”

Pastor Lin serves part-time as English ministry pastor, supporting the ministries through preaching, teaching, and premarital and marriage counseling. He also serves as head of the security ministry, coordinating with police and the volunteer team to keep the congregation safe.
