Pastor Daniel Zhang was born in Shreveport, Louisiana, grew up in a Christian family, and trusted in the Lord Jesus at an early age. He moved to Plano at age seven and was baptized in 2007. He later moved to Houston for college, where he served as a volunteer and intern in his local church's youth group and developed a burden for serving youth and their families. After several years of taking seminary courses online, Daniel felt it was time to trust the Lord and devote himself to seminary full-time. He moved to Louisville, Kentucky to attend The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, completed his Master of Divinity in 2026, and joined the DCFC staff in June 2026.

He enjoys sports of all kinds — playing and watching — sharing good food with people, and hearing people talk about their passions and burdens. He is happily married to his beloved wife Sarah.
